What are your turn around times?
Each custom project varies. I set a time-line of between 4-8 weeks for brand/web design projects and between 1 and 2 weeks for logo design — however every client is different and if your project falls over holiday seasons, there may be delays. Clients are expected to be prompt in returning feedback to work shown during all projects to ensure we complete in a timely manner.
Can I pay in instalments?
Absolutely! Payments can be made in 4 instalments on my full package (brand & web design). The first payment — 25% of the total — is required to secure your booking with the remaining payments to be through-out the process and before any files are delivered. Al La Carte options may be paid in 2 instalments with a 50% retainer to secure your date (does not include logo design, which must be paid in full upfront).
How soon can we start?
To ensure that my clients receive 100% customer service satisfaction, I only take on a few projects at one time. If there is available space in the project calendar, we can start as soon as you’re ready but sometimes there may be waiting lists. The best thing to do is contact me first. If you are required to join my waiting list, a non-refundable retainer fee must be paid to secure your slot.
What are your business hours?
My office hours are 10:00am-5:oopm Mon – Fri (Excluding UK holidays & UK half-term school breaks). I accept emails 24/7 and whilst I do my best to reply promptly, it may take up to 3 working days for a response.
What are your payment methods & policies?
Payments are made via Paypal invoice (you do not need a Paypal account to do this). A retainer fee (amount depending on package) is taken to secure your booking with the remaining payments to be paid before completion of the project. Please be aware that your booking fee is non-refundable. I often have to turn away potential clients or add people to waiting lists due to being fully booked which means if you opt out of our agreement, your spot could have been filled by another project.
What happens if I am not happy with the work?
It is extremely unlikely that this will happen if you love what you already see in my portfolio and don’t leave anything important out of your questionnaire answers. However, if you do feel that the work being shown during your project has not reached your expectations, you may not be expected to pay any remaining payments and work may cease to continue.
Is there a contract?
Yes, absolutely. After your consultation, you will be sent an agreement along with the booking invoice detailing the terms & conditions of our collaboration together. You must read & agree to the contract before any work is carried out.
I need extra design services. Can you help?
If you need further design work for something not listed in my services, please get in touch with more details. I’d be happy to quote you on further work such as product packaging etc.
How does the brand design process work?
Clients are sent a brand board showcasing all of the elements of their new brand design which has been carefully & thoughtfully made based on the answers to their design questionnaire. This board includes the logo suite, patterns, colour palette and any other important imagery designed for their project. Full details of the process can be found here.
What if I don’t like the brand board?
That would be very upsetting for us both and very unlikely! But rest assured, my brand package includes 2 small edits and failing that, another brand concept may be designed for you at no additional cost. If the second brand board is not to your taste either, further concepts can be designed at an additional cost of £300 per brand board. It’s so important when answering your design questionnaire to be as detailed as possible to prevent this from happening. Also be sure to have throughly looked through my portfolio to be sure that what you are hoping for is of the same level of style as my other work.
What web platform do you use?
My website packages are designed exclusively on WIX (hence the affordable pricing). For WordPress design, please contact me for separate pricing. WordPress design starts at £650.
How much does the hosting cost?
WIX hosting is super affordable, starting at £7 per month (approx. $11)
Will my website be optimised for mobile viewing ?
Yes, your website can be optimised for mobile viewing, but if you would prefer the site to look the same on mobile devices as your desktop, this option can be switched off too (although this is not recommended!) Mobile versions of your site are included in the service fee.
Can my site have a blog?
Yes, it absolutely can! Blogging is so important when running a business and to help boost your ranking on sites like Google.
Can you design my site using my current platform?
I usually only build client websites using the platform listed above. I can transfer everything from your current site over to the new platform though, such as your domain name, SEO and content. All you need to do is sit back and relax, whilst we take care of the transfer for you.
How easy is it to update my site in the future?
I chose WIX to use exclusively for my client’s website needs as their editors will allow anybody to update easily using drag and drop software. This means I can be confident that all clients are able to maintain their site after completion. All clients will be given an easy walk-through on how to update their content after completion of the design.
Do you offer e-commerce websites?
Yes! Design service includes setting up the look and style of your shop pages, however clients are expected to upload their own inventory. WIX makes this super easy to do though!
Does your web design include a domain name?
You must pay separately for your own domain name if you don’t currently own one. It’s easy & affordable to set-up and I’d be more than happy to help you along this process. If you already own a domain name, great! I can transfer it to your new site if necessary. Domain & hosting costs are not included and must be paid for separately.
